BREATH BISCUITS
2 cups brown rice flour 1 Tbl. charcoal 1 large egg slightly beaten 3 Tbl. vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped parsley 1/3 cup chopped fresh mint 2/3 cup milk Preheat oven to 400. Combine flour, salt and charcoal. In a medium bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley and mint; mix well. Slowly stir in flour mixture, then add enough milk to make a dough the consistency of drop biscuits. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 1 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 15 min., or until firm. Store cooled biscuits in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
GIFT IDEA DOG COOKIE KITS MATERIALS: The ingredients from above recipe (except the fat, egg and broth) Dry milk that comes in individual envelopes Bullion cube of your preference (I use chicken or beef) Large and small zipper close bags Labels for bags (write-on stickers work fine) Cookie cutter (dog related if possible) Card (for writing instructions on) Gift bag, tissue paper and ribbons ASSEMBLY: In separate bags put Oatmeal, Cornmeal and flour (I use three cups flour). Label each bag. I put the bullion cube in the Oatmeal bag and note that on label. Line gift bag with tissue paper and place in bags of dry ingredients and one envelope of dry milk. On card, print directions to make the cookies. I also include the recipe on an insert. Put card in envelope and punch hole in corner. Run ribbon through hole and also through cookie cutter. Tie handles of gift bag closed and tie the card and cookie cutter to the handles. Decorate and jazz up however you would like.
Flea-Away 1/4 Cup Cottage Cheese Vitamin E 1001 U 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder 1 Tbsp Bacon Grease Mix all the ingredients and add to food daily. Not only will it keep the fleas away, the dog will love the way it tastes.
Flea Terminator Treats 2 cups Whole wheat flour 1 cup Corn meal 2/3 cup Brewers yeast 2 tbs. Garlic powder 2 Egg yolks 1 1/2 cups Boiling water 3 Bouillon cubes Preheat oven to 375F. Dissolve bouillon in water. Mix all dry ingredients, add yolks then bouillon water slowly, mixing thoroughly. Roll out on floured surface to 1/4" thick, cut into shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes, turn off oven and leave in 3 hours or overnight. Store in airtight container.
HOMEMADE DOG FOOD
2 lbs. hamburger 1 boiled potato 10 oz shrimp or lobster, cod ect... 1 cup freeze dried liver or fresh raw liver 2 cups cooked rolled oats 1/4 cup blueberries (minced) 1/2 cup cooked brown rice 1/4 cup wheat germ 1/4 cup brewers yeast 1 TBS minced garlic tad of cinnamon I put the beef through a food processor and the boiled potato and shrimp. The blueberries should be crushed and minced....resembling digested fruit. Blend the ingredients together and roll into balls. Fed fresh and raw. For variety, I may add more shrimp,lobster, chicken, barley and yucca, raisons ect...
